At Home Date Night

At Home Date Night

These days, asking the one you love on a date comes out much like, “Hey, would you like to go check out that new place at the corner of Hallway and Dine?” It’s crazy frustrating, but under the current circumstances, it is what it is. We, however, have some clever ideas for spending date night right there at home.

An Interesting Theme

Era- Any era, like the 50s, or even the 80s, would be fun. Put together a couple of costumes, if need be, to get it just right.

Music Genre- Whether it’s nitty-gritty rock ‘n’ roll or down-home country, run with it.

Kids’ Stuff- Take it back to the world of “kid-dom” and have an evening full of mischievous fun.

Christmas in July- Bring out some holiday decorations, make some hot chocolate and watch your favorite Christmas movies for a fun night in.

An Amusing Game

Video Games- Some couples love to game together, and there is a wide variety of console and online games to choose from like Mario Cart 8 Delux, Halo Infinite, Fortnight and many others.

The Classics- Take some time away from your phones and the TV and play some of the games you loved to play as a kid. Bring out the deck of cards or the monopoly board for a night filled with competitive fun.

Some Romantic Food

Breakfast in Bed- Prep the night before so that it’s easy and quick to make. Breakfast in bed is an easy way to make staying at home feel more luxurious.

Game-time Snacks- This is the way to a sports lover’s heart…delicious food, a big, cozy chair, and sports, too. Make some appetizers and rewatch some of your favorite sporting events from the past.

Candlelit Dinner at the Dining Room Table- It’s tried and true. You can’t go wrong with a romantic dinner for two. Bonus points if you make your dates favorite dessert.

Picnic on the Family Room Floor Rug- More romantic than it may sound. Add some twinkle lights and bring wine, too.

Cheese and Wine and an Assortment of Chocolates- Again, tried and true. Try some new cheeses, sip on delicious wine and finish the night with your favorite chocolates.

Dinner and a Movie- Fix food that you can enjoy while sitting close together on the soft, comfy couch. Turn on your favorite movie and enjoy the evening.

The Classics- Take some time away from your phones and the TV and play some of the games you loved to play as a kid. Bring out the deck of cards or the monopoly board for a night filled with competitive fun.

An Informative Exchange

Personality Tests- Take personality tests and learn about each other.

Would You Rather?- Play “Would you rather…? and learn about each other.

Simple C and C- Cuddle on the couch and indulge in conversation.
